Jurisdictions

Seventeen laws, and what we hold of them today

Each country carries its own law, authority and currency. The register, data-subject requests and the evidence log work everywhere — they assert nothing about national law. Amounts, deadlines and due dates wait for the signature of a lawyer admitted to the bar of the jurisdiction, and their name will appear here.

ECOWAS zone

Supplementary Act A/SA.1/01/10 of 16 February 2010 is binding community law that the fifteen member states were to transpose. The francophone national laws of the zone are transpositions of it: they share the definition of data, the principles, the prior-formality regime and the rights of individuals. One trunk, eight countries.

CEMAC zone

Central Africa has no binding equivalent: what exists are model laws and sector directives. The trunk is thinner and national divergence stronger — each law must be read on its own terms.

Cameroon: the amounts shown by the self-assessment are transcribed from an internal audit and have been awaiting legal validation since 2026-08-09. No lawyer has signed. This notice disappears on signature.

This table gives the identity of the text, the authority and the currency: the only facts an agent may encode without a signature, because they are publicly verifiable and assert no quantified obligation. Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Comoros and Burundi: no law identified to date — we do not list them as markets and assert nothing about them.
